# Products and payment links

> A product is the thing you sell. A payment link is the URL you send a customer to pay for it, and it carries the commission rules with it.

**Where:** Products in the left menu · **Who:** Merchant, Manager. Closers see a read only version called Payment Links

A product is the thing you sell. A payment link is the URL you send a customer to pay for it. Every sale in Paydai starts as a payment link, and every payment link carries the commission rules with it.

## Products

## Payment links

| Free trial                              | Give the customer a number of free days before the first charge                 | ✅      |
| Setup fee                               | Charge an upfront fee on top, with its own timing                               | ✅      |
| Attach a lead                           | Tie the link to a lead from your Leads list so the sale is attributed correctly | ✅      |
| Credit a setter                         | Name the setter on the link so they get their cut when it converts              | ✅      |
| Set the closer's commission on the link | Override the closer's rate for this one link                                    | ⚙️     |
| Reusable links                          | Make a link that can be paid more than once, instead of one link per customer   | ⚙️     |

  The lead picker only lists leads that already exist. Create the lead in [Leads](/merchant/leads-and-meeting-links) first if you want to attach one.

## Watch out for

<Warning>
  Closer commission on a link, reusable links and buy now pay later are switched on per workspace. If the field is not on your payment link form, it is off for you.

  Currency and hide from the marketplace are Whop only. Hide from the marketplace appears on create, never on edit.

  Closers can be blocked from creating products entirely on some workspaces, which also removes their edit and delete buttons.
